Hi, I’m Emily, the grower and founder behind Emmy’s Emerald Gardens.

My love for plants started with propagation. I was completely fascinated by the idea that you could grow an entirely new plant from just a small cutting. Watching roots form, new leaves emerge, and seeing something thrive from your care, it never gets old. That experience is what drew me deeper into plant care, and eventually led me to create this shop.

Every plant you see here is grown from my own mother plants through propagation. I don’t import plants or grow from tissue culture. Each one is started, rooted, and grown by me, from start to finish.

It’s a slower and more hands-on process, but it’s incredibly rewarding. Growing plants this way allows me to truly understand them, from how they root and grow to what they need to thrive in your home. It also means I can offer plants that are well-established, resilient, and ready to continue growing with you.

As I spent more time growing, I became more interested in where these plants come from, their native habitats, how they grow in the wild, and the ecosystems they’re part of. That curiosity deepened my connection to houseplants and nature as a whole.

That’s why I include “Emmy’s Tips” with every plant. These are real, experience-based insights I’ve learned through growing, the kind of advice I would give a friend to help their plant truly thrive.
